Introduction

TORAY Group (Malaysia)’ s traditional business in textile is conducted at the two mills under PENFABRIC, a vertically integrated textile manufacturer of woven fabrics of pure cotton, polyester and blends of polyester/cotton, polyester/ organic cotton, recycled polyester/cotton, recycled polyester/ organic cotton, cotton/nylon and Cordura®, with and without elastane, white, piece-dyed, yarn-dyed, printed (using pigments, reactive and disperse dyes) and other finishes. Based in Malaysia, the well-known textile manufacturing company which was established in 1973 has grown to become one of the leading producers of high-quality fabrics in the region. The company specializes in the production of various types of fabrics catering to both domestic and international markets.


PENFABRIC Head Office and Factory (HOF) is the single largest, advanced, integrated finishing processor of grey fabrics in the region. The specialized finished fabrics are exported to international apparel manufacturers in US, Europe, Asia and Far East, especially Japan for the purposes of shirting, blouses, workwear, sportswear, suits and pants, outerwear, casual wear, home textiles, industrial and other non-apparel usages.


At PENFABRIC Mill 2, the spun yarn is woven into grey fabrics for both shirting (lightweight) and suiting (heavyweight) use including yarn-dyed woven heavyweight and lightweight woven fabrics. Most of its output is further processed in their PENFABRIC Head Office and Factory (HOF) before export.
